HTG
The Heart Transformation Group (HTG) Process
- Select one or two individuals of the same sex to meet with weekly. New people may join, but the addition of a fourth person means the HTG should become two groups.
- Agree upon a location (home, restaurant etc.) and time to meet weekly for about an hour.
- Agree upon Bible readings. Use either a yearly bible reading plan or agree on how many chapters of the Bible you’re going to read that week (usually not less than 5 chapters). If any member has not read the passages, the group will read the same passage the next week.
- Everyone answers the questions and the facilitator (rotates weekly) asks them.
- Pray for one another when you meet as well as during the week.
A Suggested HTG Meeting Format
- Facilitator (rotate weekly) ask the questions until everyone has answered the questions.
- Share prayer requests
- Closing prayer
- Confirm Bible reading and next weeks meeting time/place.
Who Are HTG’s For?
- Anyone with an open heart, a willingness to be intentional, and is willing to be faithful to the HTG process.
Questions
These questions are to be asked of one another in a weekly meeting which values honesty, confidentiality and integrity.
- Did you finish the reading and what did you hear from God about?
- Have you been honoring, understanding and generous in your important relationships this week?
- Have you been in a compromising situation with a member of the opposite sex any where this past week, or been exposed to sexually explicit material?
- Have you lacked any integrity in your financial dealings (including withholding your tithe) or coveted something that does not belong to you?
- Have you damaged another person by your words, either behind their back or face to face?
- Have you succumbed to a personal addiction?
- Is there anyone that you need to begin or continue the process of forgiveness towards?
- How have you served or cared for anyone else in a meaningful way this week?
- Have you been a testimony this week to the gospel of Jesus Christ with your words or actions?
- Have you been completely honest in your answers?
